Google has announced in the past few hours that Google Plus will close, the Mountain View social network, next August 2019.
Google has no reason to keep the consumer section active, given that currently, 90% of sessions on Google Plus have a duration of less than five seconds. This decision to close Google Plus by Google also came in conjunction with the recent privacy flaw, which would have exposed data of about half a million users between 2015 and 2018, even if Google denies that the data was stolen from third-party companies.
At this point many will wonder if Google Plus is dead completely?
The answer is no. Google has decided that the section Google Plus for business, will not be closed but instead will continue to live, enriching with new features.
