Bitmap Books publish The CRPG Book: A Guide to Computer Role-Playing Games

Bitmap Books has announce it will be publishing a new title called The CRPG Book: A Guide to Computer Role-Playing Games for early 2019.


In 2014, the editor Felipe Pepe, has create "The CRPG Book Project" a free eBook focused the history of Computer Role-Playing Games. After great success with 100,000 downloads, Felipe Pepe and Bitmap Books have decided publishing hardcover version of "The CRPG Book Project".


"The CRPG Book Project" reviews over 400 games from 1975 to 2015 such as Ultima, Wizardry, Fallout and Mass Effect, Spread over more than 500 pages. The book is completely by written by fans, AAA developers, indies, journalists, modders and industry personalities.


The Bitmap Books version, won’t be a straight printing of the digital book, will boast the cover by the artist Jan Pospíšil and Bitmap Books will create a limited collector’s edition of the book.


All of the profit of the sales will be donated to the Vocação charity in Brazil, that helps kids and teenagers from poor areas to get education and employment, who then go on to help others around them to do the same.

The CRPG Book Project pre-orders will open in 14 January 2019 on Bitmap Books official site.
